Welcome! We have created this blog to help teachers, future teachers, and parents find appropriate books for their students or children's level and interest. On each grade level bookshelf you will find descriptions of books that can be used for those grades, with teaching ideas and our reviews. On each list page we have listed other books we love for that grade level without going into details. Enjoy and feel free to ask us questions in the comments section.

And the winner is...
Roald Dahl!
It was a tight race between Dahl and Dr. Seuss, so perhaps we will have to do a second author study soon. Thank you to all who voted. Stay tuned for our author study on Roald Dahl and as always, we will be updating our shelves and lists. Happy reading.

New Gadgets Added
We have added an Amazon.com gadget, which displays the current top selling children's books for different age groups. Google Maps has also been added for our SUNY Potsdam readers so that if you would like to go to the Potsdam Public Library to find some of our recommendations you can see how to get there. It is very close to campus, and they allow students to receive library cards. We hope you find these new gadgets helpful! Also, be sure to vote in our poll on the home page for an upcoming author study.
