Good list but Paulsen should probably start with Hatchet. I would drop Ramona & Beezus to 3-4. Probably need more "boy" books: Anthony Horowitz, Will Hobbs.

Hatchet is on the 5th and 6th grade bookshelf with a more in-depth description and lesson idea, so the other books were added to the someday list for people to check out on their own. Good catch with Beezus and Ramona, a lot of the third graders I work with read that and it is a 4.8 guided reading level. Thank you again for your feedback and suggestions!
